My collage style of quilting was born out of necessity. With an overflow of burning desire to create but at a loss for space, I was forced to work flat on the only clear space I could find, my bed. I had to clear it off every night, but it was a set-up that served me well for several years. Looking back, I now realize that I have been in love with and committed to the art and process of putting gathered things together to tell a story. The art of collage relies heavily on composition and, like piecing a quilt, it combines many pieces to make a wondrous whole.
